Melissa Rodriguez is a Director / Producer from Westchester, NY. After graduating from SUNY Purchase ’13 Melissa developed a strong passion for film and social justice. She received her MFA from Brooklyn College in film and television production and launched her full-service video production company, Riot Girl Productions. RGP puts a focus on marginalized stories dedicated to social justice. Her work has been featured in various film festivals across the country. Most recently, Melissa worked closely with Apple Music in Los Angeles producing radio and video content for the Travis Mills show. Currently, Melissa is in production on a documentary exploring the cat abandonment crisis in Yonkers, NY. Melissa offers 10 years of industry experience in docu-style branded content, documentary, music video, and narrative storytelling.
